New hope for stubborn diabetes: third pill in the works

NCT ID NCT07379333

Summary

This study is testing a new drug called HM11260C for adults with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar is still too high despite taking two common medications (metformin and dapagliflozin). About 118 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the new drug or a placebo (dummy pill) for 36 weeks to see if it safely improves long-term blood sugar control. The main goal is to see how much it lowers a key blood sugar marker (HbA1c) compared to the start of the study.
