New pill tested for Tough-to-Control diabetes

NCT ID NCT06393348

Summary

This study tested whether a new oral medication called HRS-7535 could help adults with type 2 diabetes who still had high blood sugar despite taking two common diabetes drugs (metformin and an SGLT2 inhibitor). For 16 weeks, 155 participants received either the new drug or a placebo pill, while researchers measured changes in blood sugar control and weight. The goal was to see if adding HRS-7535 could better manage diabetes in this difficult-to-treat group.
