Head-to-Head diabetes drug trial seeks better Long-Term control
NCT ID NCT06246799
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two different two-drug combinations works better for controlling blood sugar in people recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It will compare a newer combination (pioglitazone + tirzepatide) against a standard one (metformin + sitagliptin) in about 256 adults. The main goal is to see which treatment helps more people reach and maintain a healthy blood sugar target over time.
