New heart clamp aims to zap away dangerous irregular heartbeat
NCT ID NCT06355063
Summary
This study is testing the safety and initial performance of a new surgical device called the CellFX Cardiac Clamp. It is designed to treat atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) in patients who are already scheduled for other heart surgeries, like valve repair or bypass. The device creates scar tissue to block the abnormal electrical signals causing the irregular heartbeat.
