Daily pill trial aims to tame hormone disorder, boost health

NCT ID NCT03760835

Summary

This study is comparing a new once-daily pill against standard treatments for adults with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), a lifelong hormone condition. It aims to see if the new pill, designed to mimic the body's natural cortisol rhythm, can better control the disease and reduce long-term health risks like heart disease and bone loss. Researchers will also check if it improves quality of life, sexual function, and mood for the 150 participants.
