Doctors test new blade for safer IV insertion

NCT ID NCT06310174

Summary

This study tested a new type of surgical knife used to make the initial cut when placing a central venous catheter (a large IV line). Researchers wanted to see if doctors liked using the new knife and if it led to fewer problems during the insertion process. They observed 24 clinicians performing the procedure and asked them to rate their experience.
