New cream aims to cut knee surgery pain and opioid use

NCT ID NCT06202989

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a prescription topical cream called Multiprofen-CC™ to standard pain care can better control pain after knee replacement surgery. The goal is to see if the cream helps reduce pain scores and the need for opioid painkillers over six weeks. Researchers will compare the cream to a placebo in 288 adults having elective knee replacement.
