Scientists test aggressive combo to shrink tumors before surgery

NCT ID NCT07182565

Summary

This study is testing a new pre-surgery treatment for a type of cancer where the stomach meets the esophagus. Researchers want to see if adding a special, shorter course of radiation to standard immunotherapy and chemotherapy is safe and can help shrink tumors more effectively before an operation. The goal is to improve the chance that surgery removes all the cancer and to see if this approach helps patients live longer without the disease returning.
