First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study is for people with newly diagnosed, high-risk rectal cancer. It tests a treatment plan given before surgery that includes a short course of radiation followed by a mix of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The goal is to shrink or eliminate the tumor so much that some patients may not need surgery and can instead be closely monitored. The study will check how well this approach works and how safe it is.
