Colon cancer staging overhaul: location matters more than count?
NCT ID NCT07380464
First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at 1500 colon cancer patients to see if a new system for classifying lymph node spread could better predict survival. Researchers compared the standard method (counting nodes) with a new approach that also considers where the nodes are located and includes cancer deposits. The goal was to improve how doctors estimate a patient's prognosis after surgery.
