Gentler radiation joins forces with drugs to attack tough colon tumors

NCT ID NCT07279077

Summary

This study is testing a new three-part treatment for people with high-risk colon cancer that hasn't spread. The goal is to shrink the tumor as much as possible before surgery. Patients receive a very low dose of radiation designed to spare lymph nodes, along with standard chemotherapy and an immunotherapy drug. Researchers hope this combination will help the immune system attack the cancer more effectively and lead to better outcomes.
