Direct-Abdominal chemo tested for incurable cancer

NCT ID NCT05449366

Summary

This study tested a new way to give chemotherapy to patients with a rare and aggressive abdominal cancer called malignant peritoneal mesothelioma. For patients who could not have major surgery, doctors delivered the drug paclitaxel directly into the abdomen through a small port. The main goals were to find the safest, most effective dose and to see if this approach was manageable for patients.
