Scientists train immune cells to hunt childhood cancers

NCT ID NCT07240207

Summary

This study aims to improve a type of immunotherapy called adoptive cell therapy for children with solid tumors. Researchers are growing special immune cells (cytotoxic T lymphocytes) in bioreactors and testing their ability to recognize and kill pediatric cancer cells in the lab. The goal is to develop better methods to expand these cancer-fighting cells for future treatment.
