Summary

This study is testing whether a newly discovered type of cell, called a 'showering cell,' can help doctors diagnose aspiration pneumonia. Researchers are comparing lung fluid samples from 94 hospitalized adults with and without this type of pneumonia to see if counting these cells provides a reliable test. The goal is to provide a new tool for faster and more accurate diagnosis.
