First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests a new flexible catheter that uses short electrical pulses to treat persistent atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat). About 35 adults with this condition will receive the procedure under general anesthesia. The main goals are to see if the treatment is safe in the first week and if it successfully isolates abnormal heart signals. Participants will be followed for one year to monitor heart rhythm and any side effects.
