Doctors test softer approach to tough cataracts
NCT ID NCT07252154
Summary
This study tested a new step during cataract surgery for people with hard, brown cataracts. Surgeons paused the standard procedure to flush the cataract's core with fluid for 30 seconds, aiming to soften it. The goal was to see if this made the cataract easier and safer to remove with less ultrasound energy.
