New 'Ready-Made' cancer therapy trial seeks to tame tough blood cancers

Summary
This early-stage trial is testing the safety and early effectiveness of a new type of CAR T-cell therapy called azer-cel in adults whose B-cell blood cancers have returned or not responded to prior treatments. The therapy uses donor immune cells (allogeneic) engineered to target cancer, aiming to be an 'off-the-shelf' option. The study will first find a safe dose and then see how well the treatment works for conditions like non-Hodgkin lymphoma and B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
