Smart ventilator tested to help struggling babies breathe easier
NCT ID NCT06053684
Summary
This study is testing if a newer, 'smarter' type of non-invasive breathing support is better for infants with bronchiolitis than the standard method. The newer method uses a special sensor to better match the ventilator's help to the baby's own breathing effort. Researchers want to see if this leads to more comfort, less need for stronger medications, and a lower chance of needing a breathing tube.
