Could a quicker, more precise scan improve breast cancer detection?

NCT ID NCT07471672

Summary

This study is testing a new way to perform an ultrasound during a mammogram to see if it can find breast lumps better than the standard ultrasound method. Researchers will compare the new technique, which uses a special open paddle during compression, to the current standard of care in 25 patients. The main goals are to see if the new method finds more lumps and if it takes less time to perform.
