New scan could sharpen brain tumor diagnosis

NCT ID NCT03830151

Summary

This study is testing a new imaging agent to see if it helps doctors better diagnose glioma, a type of brain tumor. Adult patients who are already scheduled for brain tumor surgery will receive the agent before a special MRI scan. The main goal is to see if the pictures from this new scan match up with what doctors find when they look at the actual tumor tissue.
