New scan aims to solve critical puzzle for kids with brain cancer
NCT ID NCT05553041
Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET scan to help doctors better understand brain scans in children with aggressive brain tumors (high-grade gliomas). After radiation and immunotherapy, it can be hard to tell on a regular MRI if the tumor is actually growing again or if the changes are just a side effect of treatment. Researchers want to see if this new scan can safely and accurately make that distinction, which is crucial for deciding on the right next steps in care.
