New scan aims to spot returning brain tumors, could reduce unnecessary surgeries
NCT ID NCT06444412
Summary
This study is testing a new type of brain scan to see if it can better tell the difference between a brain tumor that has come back and side effects from previous treatment. It involves 25 adults with high-grade glioma who are already scheduled for brain surgery. Researchers will give participants a special imaging agent and perform a PET/CT scan to see if it provides clearer information than standard MRI scans.
