Pulsed radiation trial aims to outsmart deadly brain tumor
NCT ID NCT07452458
Summary
This study is testing a new way to deliver radiation therapy for adults with a fast-growing type of brain cancer called glioblastoma. The new method, called TMPRT, delivers the radiation in short pulses with breaks in between, instead of one continuous dose. Researchers want to see if this approach helps patients live longer and preserves their memory and thinking abilities better than the standard radiation treatment, since current options often cause a decline in these functions.
