New device could slash bleeding risk in High-Stakes liver transplants
NCT ID NCT06749405
Summary
This study is testing a new bedside device called Quantra to help doctors better manage bleeding during liver transplant surgery. It compares the new device's guidance for blood transfusions against the standard approach. The goal is to see if using Quantra can reduce the amount of blood products patients need and lower bleeding complications. The trial involves 56 adults with end-stage liver disease who are scheduled for a transplant.
