Simple urine test could spare cancer patients from unnecessary treatment

NCT ID NCT07252297

Summary

This study is looking at a new way to predict if a common, low-risk form of bladder cancer will come back after surgery. Researchers are checking if a specific marker (SIX6) found in urine or tissue can tell which patients are at higher risk of recurrence. The goal is to help doctors avoid giving extra, potentially unnecessary treatments to patients whose cancer is unlikely to return.
