Game-Changing birth device tested in rural hospital

NCT ID NCT06918509

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device called the OdonAssist™ to help with difficult vaginal births in a rural Ethiopian hospital. It aims to see if the device is safe, effective, and acceptable to use in a low-resource setting, and to compare its costs to current methods like vacuum extraction or emergency C-sections. The goal is to provide a simpler, potentially less traumatic option to help mothers and babies during complicated labor.
