New ultrasound technique challenges standard bile duct procedure
NCT ID NCT06010576
Summary
This study compares two advanced techniques doctors use when they have trouble accessing the bile duct during a common procedure called ERCP. When the standard method fails, doctors can either make a small cut (precut) or use ultrasound guidance to create a new path (rendezvous technique). The trial aims to see which method works better and is safer for patients who need bile duct treatment but are hard to access.
