New asthma shot aims to challenge established treatment

NCT ID NCT07302516

Summary

This study is testing if a new drug called QL2302 works as well and is as safe as an existing drug, Tezspire, for adults with severe asthma that isn't well-controlled by standard inhalers. About 636 participants will receive a monthly injection of one of the two drugs for a year, followed by 12 weeks of observation. The main goal is to see if the new drug reduces the yearly rate of serious asthma flare-ups similarly to the established treatment.
