Summary
This study is testing if adding a 5-day course of the antibiotic linezolid to standard treatment improves outcomes for adults hospitalized with Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infections. The goal is to see if this combination helps more patients survive, recover their normal function, and avoid complications. Researchers will compare the new combination against standard treatment alone in over 600 participants.
