New hope for older AML patients: drug combo aims to improve outcomes

Summary
This study tests a new treatment plan for people aged 60 and older who have been newly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and cannot have strong chemotherapy. The treatment uses two different drug combinations given one after the other. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce the number of cancer cells in the bone marrow to very low levels. About 25 people will take part in this early-phase study.
