New hope for tough blood cancers: experimental combo enters human testing
NCT ID NCT03113643
Summary
This early-stage study is testing the safety of a new drug, SL-401, when combined with standard medications for certain aggressive blood cancers. It aims to find the highest safe dose for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), or blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) who have limited treatment options. The research will also look for early signs that the combination can help control the disease.
