New hope for leukemia patients who have run out of options

NCT ID NCT05263284

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether combining a new drug called 8-chloroadenosine with an existing cancer drug (venetoclax) is safe and tolerable for adults with acute myeloid leukemia that has come back or stopped responding to other treatments. The main goal is to find the right dose and understand side effects, while also seeing if this combination can help control the cancer. About 30 participants will receive the treatment in cycles for up to four months.
