New hope for older leukemia patients: trial tests stronger drug combos

NCT ID NCT06532552

Summary

This study is testing whether adding one of two extra drugs to a standard leukemia treatment works better for older adults or those who cannot tolerate intensive chemotherapy. Researchers want to see if these new combinations can kill leukemia cells more effectively, prevent drug resistance, and help patients live longer without their cancer returning. The study will compare four different treatment approaches in 172 newly diagnosed patients.
