First human test of experimental ALS injection begins

Summary

This early-stage study is testing the safety of a new drug called AMX0114 for people with ALS. The drug is given as an injection into the spinal fluid in the lower back. Researchers will monitor 48 adults with early-stage ALS to see how their bodies handle the treatment and check for any side effects.
