Tiny new device aims to make sedation safer and cheaper
NCT ID NCT07246538
Summary
This study is testing a new, smaller, and less expensive device designed to help keep people's airways open while they are sedated for medical procedures. Researchers will measure how accurately the device controls air pressure, tracks breathing, and monitors exhaled carbon dioxide in 25 healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if this new system could be a practical alternative to larger, more expensive machines currently used.
