Scientists hunt for better Heart-Zap maps
NCT ID NCT06892561
Summary
This study aims to develop a better method for guiding atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation, a procedure that uses heat to correct irregular heartbeats. Researchers will analyze existing electrical heart maps from 336 patients who had the procedure, comparing those who stayed AF-free for a year with those who had a recurrence. The goal is to find new patterns in the heart's electrical signals that could help doctors more accurately target the tissue that needs treatment.
