Breakthrough device aims to prevent dangerous leaks after aneurysm repair

NCT ID NCT07020611

Summary

This first-in-human study is testing the safety of a new device called Cygnum that's used alongside standard aneurysm repair surgery. The device aims to line the aneurysm wall to prevent dangerous blood leaks that can occur after surgery. Researchers will follow 15 patients with large abdominal aortic aneurysms to see if the device is safe and if it helps control the aneurysm better over time.
