Summary

This study is testing a new vaccine designed to protect infants and toddlers from 21 strains of pneumococcal bacteria, which can cause serious infections like pneumonia and meningitis. It will compare the new vaccine's safety and ability to trigger an immune response to an already approved 15-strain vaccine. About 1,100 healthy infants will receive the vaccines alongside their standard childhood shots over approximately 20 months.
