Summary
This large study is testing a new vaccine designed to prevent infections from 11 types of human papillomavirus (HPV), which can cause cervical cancer and other diseases. It will involve 13,500 Chinese women aged 9 to 45, who will receive either the real vaccine or a placebo shot in three doses over six months. The main goal is to see how well the vaccine prevents serious cervical cell changes linked to these HPV types.
