First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at how certain immune cells (neutrophils) work in patients having planned surgery. About 220 adults will take part, and the research focuses on understanding, not treating, the infection risk.
