NCT ID NCT05788042

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests two types of non-invasive brain stimulation (tDCS and rTMS) to see if they can reduce eating disorder symptoms and improve mood in people with anorexia nervosa. About 70 inpatients will receive either real or sham (fake) stimulation over 8 weeks, and be followed for up to 20 weeks. The goal is to find a safe, acceptable way to ease symptoms and possibly shorten hospital stays.
