New protocol aims to protect the brain after the heart stops
NCT ID NCT06992843
Summary
This study is testing whether a new, detailed care plan can improve brain recovery for adults who survive a cardiac arrest. The plan involves closely managing body temperature, blood pressure, oxygen, and other factors in the ICU. Researchers will compare this new approach to usual care in over 1,000 patients to see if it leads to better long-term brain function and survival.
