Spinal injury patients may sit steadier with implanted electrical device

Summary

This study tests a surgically implanted device that uses small electric currents to stimulate trunk and hip muscles in people with spinal cord injury. The goal is to improve seated posture, balance, breathing, reaching, and wheelchair mobility. Ten participants with injuries between C4 and T12 will be enrolled.
