Summary

This study looked at two different exercise methods for people with severe COPD: using electrical stimulation to activate leg muscles versus pedaling a stationary bike. Both were part of a 3-4 week hospital rehab program. The goal was to see which approach better improves leg strength and daily function. 102 participants with advanced COPD took part.
