Scan could reveal new treatment path for tough cancers
NCT ID NCT04069299
Summary
This study is using a special type of PET scan to look at a specific target on aggressive neuroendocrine cancer cells in the digestive tract. Researchers want to see if enough of this target is present to potentially use a targeted radiation treatment in the future. The study involves 30 adults with this specific type of cancer who have not had this scan before. The goal is to gather information to guide future treatment research.
