Scientists track brain parasite patients for years to unlock treatment secrets

NCT ID NCT00001205

Summary

This study follows 500 patients with neurocysticercosis (a brain infection caused by pork tapeworm larvae) during and after their standard medical treatment. Researchers will track patients' health over time, collect blood and urine samples, and analyze how different factors affect long-term recovery. The goal is to better understand this complex brain infection and improve future treatment approaches.
