New hope for tough childhood cancers: scientists test Triple-Threat drug combo

NCT ID NCT01711554

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a combination of three drugs—lenalidomide, dinutuximab, and isotretinoin—in children and young adults whose neuroblastoma has returned or hasn't responded to standard treatments. The main goal is to find the safest dose of lenalidomide when given with the other two drugs and to understand the side effects. Researchers also want to see if this combination can help the body's immune system fight the cancer and if it shows any signs of shrinking tumors.
