Summary
This study tested a medication called Neurexan in 81 adults with short-term insomnia (trouble sleeping for less than 3 months). Participants took Neurexan or a placebo daily for 14 days. Researchers measured sleep quality using overnight brain activity tests and stress levels using ice-water hand immersion and hormone tests. The goal was to see if Neurexan improves sleep efficiency and reduces stress compared to placebo.
