First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at the bacteria, fungi, and viruses living on the skin and in the gut and mouth of people with Netherton syndrome, a rare condition that causes a weak skin barrier and allergies. Researchers will compare these microbes to those in healthy volunteers to find patterns. No treatments are tested; the goal is simply to learn more.
