Nerve wrap aims to shield shoulder function in cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07283861

Summary

This study is testing if wrapping a key shoulder nerve with a protective sleeve during neck cancer surgery helps patients recover better shoulder movement and less pain. About 90 adults having this specific surgery will have the wrap placed and their shoulder function checked one year later. The goal is to see if this simple step during the operation makes a meaningful difference in long-term shoulder comfort and use.
